Tom Brady’s comeback is “100% in play.”
Tom Brady has denied comeback rumors, but it hasn’t prevented analysts from making predictions about him coming out of retirement.
Analysts also concur that if Brady were to play again, one team would make sense. Brady and the Miami Dolphins have frequently been linked, most recently by commentator Scott Zolak.
In a recent radio interview, Zolak expressed his opinion that the Dolphins had a good chance of persuading Brady to come out of retirement.
“Brady may go to Miami. I think that’s in play. I do. I think the possibility of him coming out of retirement is definitely 100% in play,” Zolak said.
“You can watch the kitten tweet from yesterday while sitting there. Keep away from that. I’m not the one stating it. This is not a Brady-related individual. Rich Eisen had the idea first. At the Super Bowl is Eisen. There were several hints given. Colin Cowherd is connected to some FOX personnel. He won’t, in my opinion, call games. How is that transaction completed? How does a guy sign on to that?”
Although Zolak is not the first to link Brady to Miami, he seems to be on an island in his opinion that Tom’s future does not lie in broadcasting. For a record $375 million over 10 years, Brady agreed to call games for Fox. All indications are that he will have 2023 to himself before entering the TV booth for the 2024 season.
On Wednesday, Brady mocked the notion of a comeback, but it was evident from his tweet that some people, including Zolak, were not persuaded.
It is unclear if the storied quarterback will sit out the upcoming campaign.
