Introducing the FLIP ULTRA from O2VAPE

Bloomberg claims that Apple is developing a smart home gadget similar to the iPad that will compete with Google’s Nest Hub and Amazon’s Echo Show. According to reports, it would be “basically a low-end iPad” that would function as a hub to manage security, lighting, and thermostat settings as well as support FaceTime calls. It might be used as a home hub device rather than a standard iPad, installed on walls with magnetic clips.

Although there are no further specifics, the business has previously addressed the concept of creating smart home displays larger than iPads. At the earliest, none of the smart home goods would be available before 2024.

There are already rumors circulating regarding future Apple Smart Displays. According to a story from last August, the business was developing four smart home products in-house, including a speaker/iPad kitchen attachment. (In the same article, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman made a spot-on prediction about the brand-new HomePod model that was released yesterday.)

A new Apple TV model is purportedly being developed by the company and will be available in the first half of 2024. The design would be the same, but it would feature a quicker processor.

Touch screen smart home gadgets are a potentially profitable market niche that Apple has mainly ignored. The Echo Show smart display is available from Amazon in a number of models, with costs ranging from about $30 for the Echo Show 8 to $250 for the Echo Show 15. Google charges $100 or $229 for the Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max.

Apple’s family of smart homes received a significant upgrade yesterday. The business released a new $300 version of its bigger HomePad, which was discontinued last year, after launching new MacBook Pro and Mac mini versions. Notably, it comes with brand-new smart home capabilities in addition to modernizations like better audio, a S7 processor, and a reduced cost. Included in this are an integrated temperature and humidity sensor as well as Sound Recognition, a technology that can monitor smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and notify your iPhone in case of an emergency.
