Brendan Fraser Recalls Almost Dying on the Set of “The Mummy”

Brendan Fraser claimed that he nearly passed away while working while reflecting on his time spent filming The Mummy.

The Whale actor discussed the incident during an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

“I accidently choked out. There is a passage that hangs,” he began. I was using the rope while standing on my toes like this, but you could only go so far. The director, Stephen Sommers, approached and remarked, “Hey, it doesn’t really look like you’re choking.” Is it for sale? “

Fraser managed to get one more shot at that very time, at which point he recalled, “The camera swooped around and I went up on my toes. The person holding the rope above me, he pulled it up a bit higher and I was caught on my toes and I had nowhere to go but down. As a result, I was descending and he was pulling up. Then, the next thing I knew, I had gravel in my teeth, my elbow was in my ear, and the world was upside down.

Everyone became quite quiet, according to Fraser, and the coordinator started attempting to wake him up. After he did, they congratulated him and said, “Congratulations, you’re in the club – similar thing happened to Mel Gibson on Braveheart.”

The actor was perplexed by the fact that during filming The Mummy, he almost passed out.

At a recent showing of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns in London, Fraser startled the crowd.
