How Much does the Champion of the 2023 Masters Receive?

Introducing the FLIP ULTRA from O2VAPE

The golfer who triumphs in this weekend’s Masters Tournament at Augusta National in Georgia will take more than just a new jacket home with them.

After defeating the competition and taking home the season’s first major golf championship, the victor will receive millions in prize money.

The sum of $2.7 million going to the 2023 Masters champion will tie the record for the biggest money awarded to the victor. Last year, Scottie Scheffler took home the same amount. There was a $15 million prize pool.

When Tiger Woods pulled off one of the tournament’s most unexpected victories in 2019, the prize money for the victor for the first time surpassed the $2 million mark. He finished at 13-under par, one stroke better than Xander Schauffele, Dustin Johnson, and Brooks Koepka.

Woods also became the tournament’s first million-dollar winner. In 2001, he defeated David Duvall by two shots to win $1.008 million. Duval received $604,000 as payment for his work. Vijay Singh in 2000 was the most recent winner to receive less than $1 million.

The current champion is Scheffler. He beat Rory McIlroy by three shots to win his first green jacket. He won twice on the PGA Tour in 2023 and has four victories on the tour in 2022.
